The Senate

Posted: 8 Dec 2007 in Politics

Ladies and Gentlemen! Tonight at center ring I give you; The Senate!

The Senate is in such disarray and not getting anything done, that they may as well take their Christmas break now. If I were a Senator from either party, I would be embarrassed to show my face in public. The way they are acting, it may as well be a three ring circus. Senator Reid wants to do cartwheels down the center aisle of the Senate chambers.

“As if there was any doubt that Congress was on the verge of devolving into a carnival atmosphere, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader, on Thursday proposed doing cartwheels down the center aisle of the Senate chamber to draw attention to Republican efforts to block legislation.”

Since all the infighting is going on in the Senate, any House Bills that show up are doomed to failure for lack of action. The bickering in the Senate between the two leaders is a constant and shows a sharp divide in this nation’s capital.

The lunatic left has hijacked their party, therefore any legislation brought forth by the Democrats will be eyed with suspicion by the Republicans as another nutroots driven piece of legislation. If the Republicans try something, then they are looked on as President Bush’s puppets and legislation stops. It is a vicious cycle that is endangering our country’s national security, economic forecast and all around wellness.

Vice President Cheney says that Senator Reid is “difficult to work with.” His interview with Politco has raised a shit storm from the Speaker of the House Pelosi. She is as ineffective as they come. What real legislation has come from the House? The energy bill that passed recently will be shot down in the Senate as soon as it arrives. Pelosi is so left wing that she flies around in right circles. Anything that woman proposes is immediately looked at as coming from MoveOn.org and their minions, or is directly impacting a George Soros venture.

If I were a member of the House of Representatives, I would be ashamed to show my face in public as well.

With the Congress getting absolutely nothing done, you’d think that the country would be safe from their circus act. But, alas, I fear you would be woefully wrong.
