The un-Fairness
Doctrine.
“Congress shall
make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech….”
It’s stated in the
first five words. Congress shall make no law… The very idea that they are
currently entertaining the “Fairness” Doctrine is ludicrous at best.
How anyone could fall for this bullshit is something that absolutely astounds.
If this crap passes
Congress, then the liberals in this country will have effectively stopped all
free speech that derides their beloved party. The Democrats will stop at
nothing to silence Conservatism. There is a silver lining though; Michael
Savage, Rush Limbaugh, et.al., would be hosting their own TV shows as counter points
to the bullshit that passes for talk shows on TV like the lick-spittle Oprah, Ellen Degenerate, the View and its mindless liberal whores as well.
I have a feeling
that this garbage would not stand up to Constitutional scrutiny by the SCOTUS. That’s why it was shot down in 1987 by Ronald Maximus Reagan.

The Fairness Doctrine was a rule of the FCC. It required broadcast entities using the public airwaves to provide time for “responsible, opposing positions” if said broadcast entity presented an editorial. Pretty straightforward. Even simple. But, oh, so effective.
Faux “News” wouldn’t be able to operate the way they do under the Fairness Doctrine. Oh, they could still operate. They could go “subscription”, like HBO. Alternately, they could actually broadcast a fair and balanced production but I don’t really think there’s any risk of that.
St. Reagan put an end to enforcement of the Fairness Doctrine, along with rules limiting ownership of media outlets, and the result has been much damage to this nation. Now that moneyed interests control most of “the message”, it’s very easy for those interests to manipulate the understanding of a large number of otherwise normal (but really kinda dumb) Americans. (For the record, I define “really kinda dumb” as people who use ‘wrong-means-keep-doing-the-same” as a guiding principle.)…..

Are you serious?
Where’s the fairness at MSLGBT?
Or CNN for that matter.
There’s more opposing views on FOX than any other outlet.
Go away.
