Wild Misrepresentation Watch: Obama lies about AARP endorsement
By Michelle Malkin

President Obama assailed “wild misrepresentations” by his opponents at the Portsmouth town hall today.

But he wildly misrepresented his position on single payer.

And he wildly misrepresented the AARP’s position on Obamacare:

…the President may have overstated support for his plan in one instance. When asked about the potential impact of the reform plan on Medicare, the President said, “The AARP would not be endorsing a bill if it was undermining Medicare.” Problem is – the AARP has not yet endorsed the plan. The New Hampshire head of the AARP chapter here told ABC’s Lisa Chinn today that the AARP hasn’t yet made up its mind as an organization whether to endorse the bill.

Here’s a true CEO’s health care reform proposal. Actually makes sense.

The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare
Eight things we can do to improve health care without adding to the deficit.
By JOHN MACKEY

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out
of other people’s money.”

—Margaret Thatcher

With a projected $1.8 trillion deficit for 2009, several trillions more in deficits projected over the next decade, and with both Medicare and Social Security entitlement spending about to ratchet up several notches over the next 15 years as Baby Boomers become eligible for both, we are rapidly running out of other people’s money. These deficits are simply not sustainable. They are either going to result in unprecedented new taxes and inflation, or they will bankrupt us.

While we clearly need health-care reform, the last thing our country needs is a massive new health-care entitlement that will create hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system. Instead, we should be trying to achieve reforms by moving in the opposite direction—toward less government control and more individual empowerment.

Thanks again fiddy2ers! You morons didn’t do your homework on this guy and now we’re all suffering. This Assclown will be voted out in 2012. I guarantee it. In 2010, his majority in both houses of Congress will no longer exist. The people have awoken to the farce that is Obama and the liberal morons in the Democrat Party and shall overthrow them at the ballot box, or in a not so nice manner if the need arises.

Obama Failed to Master Alinsky’s Rule #12
By
Kyle-Anne Shiver

Alinsky’s 12th Rule of Tactics:  The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

You cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying, ‘You’re right – we don’t know what to do about this issue.  Now you tell us.’

Why is President Barack Obama suddenly drowning in a sea of widespread resistance to his centerpiece legislation?  Because it has now become quite clear to Harry & Louise Q Citizen that this was a man without a “constructive alternative” to the out-of-control health care system he has badgered and rhetorically beaten bloody to a pulp.

At what point does a liberal become a Stalinist?
By
James Lewis

The first adjective that comes to mind for “liberal” may be “touchy-feely.” The best adjective for a Stalinist might be “murderous.” That’s a pretty big difference. I would never want to mistake a well-meaning liberal for a nasty Stalinist. At the same time, I hope we don’t fail to spot any Stalinists who might be looking for mischief and pretending to be liberals. Certainly the mainstream media aren’t interested in the difference.

The term “Stalinist” is historically justified by undeniable evidence, including testimony from thousands of former Stalin collaborators.   So this is not a question to take lightly, as long as we are careful to separate undeniable facts from mere allegations.

More on the health care debacle. Obama and the Democrats are idiots if they think this is gonna fly. Obama’s lying ass can’t save this sinking ship.

Why Americans are turning on ObamaCare
Despina D. Karras

The verdict is in: a majority of Americans now oppose ObamaCare. According to Rasmussen, 53% oppose Democrats’ proposals, with disapproval ratings up 9% since June. 51% believe health care costs will increase under Obama’s plan, and just 19% think the proposed measures will bring health care costs down.

Gallup has compiled a ten-point list summarizing Americans’ problems with Democrats’ plans based on voter surveys taken in late July. They conclude that while Americans want some reforms in the long-term, they are in no hurry to see health care legislation pushed through quickly.

Obama’s healthcare horror
Heads should roll — beginning with Nancy Pelosi’s!
By Camille Paglia

Having said that, I must confess my dismay bordering on horror at the amateurism of the White House apparatus for domestic policy. When will heads start to roll? I was glad to see the White House counsel booted, as well as Michelle Obama’s chief of staff, and hope it’s a harbinger of things to come. Except for that wily fox, David Axelrod, who could charm gold threads out of moonbeams, Obama seems to be surrounded by juvenile tinhorns, bumbling mediocrities and crass bully boys.

Case in point: the administration’s grotesque mishandling of healthcare reform, one of the most vital issues facing the nation. Ever since Hillary Clinton’s megalomaniacal annihilation of our last best chance at reform in 1993 (all of which was suppressed by the mainstream media when she was running for president), Democrats have been longing for that happy day when this issue would once again be front and center.

But who would have thought that the sober, deliberative Barack Obama would have nothing to propose but vague and slippery promises — or that he would so easily cede the leadership clout of the executive branch to a chaotic, rapacious, solipsistic Congress? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom I used to admire for her smooth aplomb under pressure, has clearly gone off the deep end with her bizarre rants about legitimate town-hall protests by American citizens. She is doing grievous damage to the party and should immediately step down.
