If you aren’t scared of the direction that America is taking with this liberal ideology, you need to have your head examined.

I am afraid that the 20 years I spent in the Army defending the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic has been for naught. I will continue to uphold that oath, even if it means the tree of liberty needs to be refreshed, as it were. I won’t stand by and let America become a clone of the Soviet Union, or the European Union. Neither of those two choices work for me. If that is what you desire, move to those respective countries that you so admire and leave mine the hell alone.

On another scary note, the shitty state of Massachusetts is a thorn in America’s side in lieu of being at the center of the creation of this great nation, they’re likely to be the ones to be pivotal in its undoing.

Senatorial folly
By
David Fennell

The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.

~Article I, Section 3 of the United States Constitution ~

Through the chance of history and some political maneuvering, the fate of ObamaCare could fall upon the decision of a single man who has never been elected to national office.  If the circumstances weren’t so serious it would be a comedy of errors that leads us to where we are today.

Camelot and Obamalot
By
Robin of Berkeley

I grew up in a storybook family.  My parents, refugees from the urban jungle, felt like royalty in our little suburban home.  They even referred to our lives as a fable, with a happily ever after ending.

The problem for me was the disconnect between what my parents said and what I experienced.  As a kid my life felt more like a Greek tragedy than a fairy tale.  While my parents partied hardy, I was bored out of my gourd at home.

When what you’re told doesn’t jive with your own eyes, you proceed in one of two directions.    One way is to grow up and invent new myths for your life.  You delude yourself into believing people love you when they don’t.  You’re convinced that you’re happy when you’re not.

Some myth debunking. It’s needed when the left can’t help themselves and continue to lie not only to themselves, but to the public in grand style.

Lies about Bush’s record on science
By
Zbigniew Mazurak

Even though President Bush has left office, the media don’t stop lying about his record. But it is surprising that one of the leading anti-Bush media has been the self-proclaimed conservative Daily Telegraph newspaper, which calls itself Britain’s #1 quality newspaper.

One of the worst lies made against President Bush was that he was an enemy of science, and it must be refuted – not for Bush’s sake, but for the sake of the truth and the Republican Party. If it is to win future elections, the myth that the GOP is anti-science must be refuted once and for all. And that requires debunking the lies about Bush’s record on science.

In a March 2009 article in the Daily Telegraph, Ian Douglas made a series of false assertions, which will be debunked here one after another.

I like this post over at American Elephant. He’s way more eloquent than I am.

It Must Be Hard Being Left (Behind)
By American Elephant

Tuesday we posted about “National Keep Your Child at Home Day“.  This post was picked up by World Net Daily and posted on Free Republic leading to an onslaught of traffic, tons of e-mails and contacts with some people I wouldn’t even believe.  It also caused a ton of comments in our post, first by people who were mostly supportive, and then an ever increasing number of astroturfers trying to quiet our dissent.  At one point, a liberal blogger was commenting multiple times in the span of a few minutes… trying to somehow prove he was right and bury all those who disagree.  He was also likely trying to benefit from the huge amount of traffic our site has been inundated with over the past two days.  Regardless, the motives of that poster and a few others were crystal clear…. they don’t want debate, they don’t even want to hear our voice.  All they want is to scream from the hilltops that they won, they are right, and to drown out anyone else.

The Voice of the People -Great Video
By American Elephant

This is the voice of the people.  This is why we are angry.  This is why we are upset.  It’s not about one political party or another.  It’s about government not listening.  It’s about government thinking they know best, when few have ever faced the challenges most Americans actually face.  It’s about small businesses, the backbone of our nation, finally standing up.

This woman speaks for millions.  God Bless her for standing up.

Mark Tapscott: Tea Party leaders are wasting chance to replace Congress UPDATED!
By: Mark Tapscott

It’s not often that leaders of the moment’s most significant political movement miss the critically important public opinion shift of their time, but that is exactly what is happening right now with the Tea Party crusade.

Just when 57 percent of the American people – including most independents – are ready to throw all the bums out of Congress and start over, Tea Party leaders are wasting time, resources and their precious credibility fighting a comparatively minor skirmish with the unions.

Don’t get me wrong, I admire Whole Foods Chief Executive Officer John Mackey, whose courageous critique of Obamacare has put him and his innovative operation square in the cross hairs of a union-led boycott on the left side of the blogosphere.

Slip sliding away. Slip sliding awaaaay.

Chorus:
Slip sliding away, slip sliding away
You know the nearer your destination, the more you slip sliding away

Whoah and I know a man, he came from Chitown
He wore his passion for his socialism like a thorny crown
He said Saul, I live in fear
My love for you so overpowering, I’m afraid that I will disappear

Chorus

I know a man, (who) became a president
These are the very words he uses to describe his life
He said a good day ain’t got no racist whities
He said a bad day is when I lie and get caught
And I think of things that might have been

Chorus

And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things he’d done
He came a long way just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and he headed home again

Chorus

Whoah God only knows, God makes his plan
The information’s unavailable to the mortal man
Were workin our jobs, collect our pay
Believe were gliding down the highway, when in fact were slip sliding away

Chorus repeats 2x

Poll of the week: Independents turn away from Obama
John Hanlon

For the Obama White House (or any White House for that matter), there is never a great time for bad polling data to cast doubts about administration plans for the future. However, with the health care debate coming into focus again next week with a major speech by the president, now is a brutal time for the Obama administration to be facing negative polling numbers. Unfortunately for President Obama and many of his liberal backers, two new CNN polls this week noted how the tide of public opinion is turning against the president and his liberal agenda.

China’s national flag to go up in White House on Sept 20
By Hou Lei

The national flag of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday.

Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.
