Here’s the punch line:

A Baltimore Sun editorial lamented the killing, claiming that “even burglars don’t deserve to be killed with a razor-sharp sword.” (That leaves us all to ponder this question: What, exactly, DO burglars deserve to be killed with?) Later, in the same editorial, the writer pondered what would have happened if Rice had been armed.

And there, dear readers, you have a classic example of what I call lib-think. I take it you noticed the underlying assumption: Criminals are supposed to be armed. It’s kind of in their job description. But law-abiding citizens being armed? Oh, perish the thought.

Elementary School Students Reportedly Taught Songs Praising President Obama

An elementary school class in New Jersey was reportedly videotaped singing songs praising the “great accomplishments” of President Obama as they are apparently conducted and coaxed on by teachers.

Nearly 20 young children are captured in an online video as they sing songs that overflow with campaign slogans and praise for “Barack Hussein Obama,” as they repeatedly chant the president’s name and celebrate his accomplishments, including his “great plans” to “make this country’s economy No. 1 again.”

No Indoctrination Here

We’ve warned about the indoctrination of our school children before.  Some Americans laughed.  I guess this doesn’t bother them at all.  Well, it bothers the heck out of me.  How warped are our priorities as a nation when we teach our school children its ok to hate the country and deplore its founding, and at the same time teach them to sing in praise of an individual President, who as they put it is “number one”?

Bank Manager is a Moron…

I know it probably isn’t the bank’s fault, just an over zealous liberal moron that runs this particular branch, but dude, really? Bank of America doesn’t fly the American flag on its property? You’re joking right? America is the name of the bank for Pete’s sake!

You can’t honor a fallen Marine? Are you that pathetic? The manager really needs a good beat down.

His particular branch has already lost over $500,000 in accounts. I hope they lose a hell of a lot more.

Bank of America Draws Fire for Pulling U.S. Flags From Property

When a South Carolina woman tried to honor her next door neighbor, a Marine who was recently in Afghanistan, by planting flags along the route the casket would follow, a Bank of America branch manager pulled the flags from the bank’s property, citing “corporate policy.”

With a name like Bank of America, it was particularly surprising when a branch manager in South Carolina ordered the removal of a U.S. flag honoring a fallen soldier from the bank’s property.

Brenda Earls of Gaffney, S.C., tried to honor her next-door neighbor, Marine Lance Cpl. Christopher Fowlkes, who was recently killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, by planting flags along the route the casket would follow. But a Bank of America branch manager pulled the flags from the bank’s property, citing “corporate policy.”

Bank of America, which has received $45 billion in federal loans as part of the government rescue of the financial industry, apologized for the incident, calling it a “terrible mistake.”

Still a Shortage in Ammo…

Ammo shortages are still an issue.

I got lucky last month and was able to pick up some target ammo for my Beretta 96FS. Apparently the dude that had them set aside had not come in to pick them up in a month, so the salesman let me buy them. That was the ONLY .40 ammo in BassPro in Vegas.

The only .223 I’ve been able to find locally is hollow point 55gr which my Kel-Tec probably won’t like. I have heard others have problems with hollow points in semi-auto rifles, so I don’t even want to try it.

Ammo Sales Spike Continues Months After Obama Elected

NEW ORLEANS —  Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can’t keep up with the nation’s demand for ammunition.

Shooting ranges, gun dealers and bullet manufacturers say they have never seen such shortages. Bullets, especially for handguns, have been scarce for months because gun enthusiasts are stocking up on ammo, in part because they fear President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress will pass antigun legislation — even though nothing specific has been proposed and the president last month signed a law allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks.

Gun sales spiked when it became clear Obama would be elected a year ago and purchases continued to rise in his first few months of office. The FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System reported that 6.1 million background checks for gun sales were issued from January to May, an increase of 25.6 percent from the same period the year before.
