Wednesday my son and I went to the USMC logistics base Barstow and watched the Drum and Bugle Corps and the Silent Drill Team perform. Excellent showing.
Here are some pics (clickable):
All in all, an excellent show.
My son and I really enjoyed it.
If you should ever get the chance to watch these fine young men and women, I would highly recommend it.

I didn’t post the response above – even though it shows my name, but the photos of USMC are nice. They offer an impressive performance.
I saw the same presentation at Barstow last Wednesday…and wow!
I taught bands for years in which we did halftime shows and competition parades.
I wouldn’t have believed that an outdoor group could get the smooth and powerful sound than did the USMC Drum and Bugle Corp. It didn’t matter whether the ensemble was facing away from the audience or toward it.
I was very impressed with them. I spent a lot of time in marching bands when in high school, and know exactly how difficult it is to march and play a tune at the same time.
Great job by these folks.
go figure lol!
Thank you for the great information. I look forward to seeing more articles and what else you have to offer!
