Carson medic recalls attack that led to her Bronze Star

There was no time to think, or even register fear, when a rocket-propelled grenade ripped into a Humvee and detonated in the driver’s lap.

“All I knew is: It was hot, I couldn’t see and I couldn’t breathe,” said Cpl. Helen L. Ruhl, one of four soldiers injured in the Sept. 24 blast in eastern Afghanistan.

Yet Ruhl could — and did — manage to act.

Despite her own injuries, the 24-year-old Fort Carson medic is credited with helping to save the driver’s life by stanching his bleeding and then returning fire on insurgents as her comrade was taken away for treatment.

She received a Bronze Star for valor Wednesday in a ceremony on Fort Carson. It’s the military’s fourth highest award for valor.

The driver lost a leg but may not have survived without Ruhl’s quick thinking, a top commander said.

“She’s the kind of medic I would like to have on a combat patrol,” Fort Carson Deputy Commanding General for Support Brig. Gen. James Pasquarette said after pinning Ruhl with the award.

Lie after lie. This time he’s actually called out on it be the MSM. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Obama: As I’ve Always Said, I Promise I Won’t Raise “Any Form of Taxes” Income Tax on the Middle Class

Obama, shockingly, says he’s open to the idea of a VAT. He just wants to know all of his “options” before announcing the decision he actually made three years ago.

What’s actually a little surprising is that CNBC catches him altering his previous bullshit campaign promises:

Obama’s VAT admission may explain his recent attempts to alter the terms of his central campaign promise. Twice in the past two weeks, Obama has claimed his middle class tax pledge only applied to income taxes rather than “any form of taxes”.

In his April 10 Weekly Radio Address, Obama said: “And one thing we have not done is raise income taxes on families making less than $250,000. That’s another promise we’ve kept.” In a speech on the evening of April 15, Obama repeated the truncated promise: “And one thing we haven’t done is raise income taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year — another promise that we kept.”

The two recent statements stand in stark contrast to Obama’s original promise: “I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

The Media and the Morons…

I got this in an email, and it is truly astounding that the majority of Americans still believe that the press/media is a viable source for the truth. These bastards have failed miserably.

The morons drink the Kool-Aid as if it were fact, yet never ask why it is that the media can’t get anything on Obadouchenozzle.

I think it is remarkable that within a week of Tiger Woods crashing his Escalade, the press found every woman with whom tiger has had an affair in the last few years, with photos, text messages, recorded phone calls, etc.

And, they not only know the cause of the family fight, but they even know it was a wedge from his golf bag that his wife used to break out the windows in the Escalade. Not only that, they know which wedge!

And each and every day, they give America more updates on his sex-rehab stay, his wife’s plans for divorce, and his plans to return to the pro-golf circuit.

Obama has been in office for over a year now, and this same press still cannot locate Obama’s official birth certificate, or any of his papers while in college, or how he paid for a Harvard education, or which country issued his visa to travel to  Pakistan in the 1980’s as Barry Soretoro and even Michelle Obama’s Princeton thesis  on racism. It just can’t be found.

Yet the public still trusts that same press to give them
