Smells like victory.
The green energy morons were warned that the cost would be unsustainable. Morons.

…from the debate last night was this.
It’s actually a segment:
MR. ROMNEY: Jim, let’s — we — we’ve gone on a lot of topics there, and — so I’ve got to take — it’s going to take a minute to go from Medicaid to schools to —
PRESIDENT OBAMA: (Inaudible.)
MR. LEHRER: Come back to Medicaid, here, yeah, yeah, right.
MR. ROMNEY: — oil to tax breaks and companies overseas. So let’s go through them one by one. First of all, the Department of Energy has said the tax break for oil companies is $2.8 billion a year. And it’s actually an accounting treatment, as you know, that’s been in place for a hundred years. Now —
PRESIDENT OBAMA: It’s time to end it.
MR. ROMNEY: And — and in one year, you provided $90 billion in breaks to the green energy world. Now, I like green energy as well, but that’s about 50 years’ worth of what oil and gas receives, and you say Exxon and Mobil — actually, this $2.8 billion goes largely to small companies, to drilling operators and so forth.
But you know, if we get that tax rate from 35 percent down to 25 percent, why, that $2.8 billion is on the table. Of course it’s on the table. That’s probably not going to survive, you get that rate down to 25 percent.
But — but don’t forget, you put $90 billion — like 50 years worth of breaks — into solar and wind, to — to Solyndra and Fisker and Tesla and Ener1. I mean, I — I had a friend who said, you don’t just pick the winners and losers; you pick the losers. All right? So — so this is not — this is not the kind of policy you want to have if you want to get America energy-secure.
The second topic, which is you said you get a deduction for getting a plant overseas. Look, I’ve been in business for 25 years. I have no idea what you’re talking about. I maybe need to get a new accountant.
(Emphasis mine).
Another Green Energy Fail…

…in North Las Vegas. Why is the government giving money to the green energy sector, when it is obviously a failing policy?
I ask myself that a lot about many of the things that government wastes our tax dollars on. But as long as the Senate is controlled by Democrats, shit like this is going to keep happening. Don’t get me wrong, there are RINOs that need to be purged as well.
This is yet another reason to go vote and fire every last one of these bastards and that includes the SCOAMF.
Amonix closes North Las Vegas solar plant after 14 months, heavy federal subsidies
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
The Amonix solar manufacturing plant in North Las Vegas, subsidized by more than $20 million in federal tax credits and grants, has closed its 214,000-square-foot facility about a year after it opened.
Officials at Amonix headquarters in Seal Beach, Calif., have not responded to repeated calls for comment this week, but the company began selling equipment, from automated tooling systems to robotic welding cells, in an online auction Wednesday.
A designer and manufacturer of concentrated photovoltaic solar power systems, Amonix received $6 million in federal tax credits for the North Las Vegas plant and a $15.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy in 2007 for research and development.
Rene Kenerly, a former material and supply manager at Amonix, said the plant has been idle since May 1, when he was laid off. At its peak, the plant had about 700 employees working three shifts a day to produce solar panels for a utility in Amarosa, Colo., he said.
Another Green Company Fail…

And we have yet another green company fail that was given a “loan” from the Obummer Administration. Government isn’t the solution. It’s the antithesis of a solution.
Lights go dim on another energy project
Geothermal losses pile up
A geothermal energy company with a $98.5 million loan guarantee from the Obama administration for an alternative energy project in Nevada — which received hearty endorsements from Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — faces financial problems, and the company’s auditors have questioned whether it can stay in business.
Much like Solyndra LLC, a California solar-panel manufacturer with a $535 million federal loan guarantee that went bankrupt, Nevada Geothermal Power (NGP) has incurred $98 million in net losses over the past several years, has substantial debts and does not generate enough cash from its current operations after debt-service costs, an internal audit said.
“The company’s ability to continue as a going concern is dependent on its available cash and its ability to continue to raise funds to support corporate operations and the development of other properties,” NGP auditors said in a financial statement for the period ending March 31.
“Consequently, material uncertainties exist which cast significant doubt upon the company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” the statement said.
How’s that Green Energy Working for You?

Not so well.
Green energy is a load of bullshit.
Well, I guess that really isn’t green energy is it?
The loons on the left that think green energy is the way to go fail to realize that wind and solar power doesn’t create the energy needed to support modern life. In other words, your fucking IPad isn’t going to run on wind power. Neither are the farms of servers that you are trying to gain access through to your favorite porn site.
You need energy that is reliable, cheap, and can be used at the flip of a switch. Wind and solar need acres of area to produce anything viable, and even that is a fraction of what the consumers would need.

Green Welfare, Green Taxes, Green Poverty
By Peter Ferrara
The road to hell is paved with Obama’s Green intentions.
What would you do if gangs of robbers roamed your neighborhood at night, breaking into your neighbors’ houses and stealing their family jewels and life savings? You would arm yourself, and your family members of sufficient age, to defend your property. Or you would move to a safer neighborhood.
But if the robbers formed gangs called Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, or the Natural Resources Defense Fund, and assaulted your standard of living, the Che Guevara Democrats expect you to greet them with open arms, and gleefully turn over bushels of your cash, until your life savings is gone, and your standard of living has been reduced to the level of Argentina.
That third world destination is where Obama’s “green energy” economic strategy is taking America, all while he tells us sweet fairy tales about how this path is the road to 21st century prosperity.
Judge Milan Smith Shows There is Someone not Insane on the 9th Circuit…

Just wow. I never thought I’d see the day where a judge on the Ninth Circuit actually had some sense. He’s a Bush appointee, which probably says a lot in and of itself.
This comes from Ace of Spades…
Judge Milan Smith Has Had It With the Ninth Circuit’s Environmental Cases
“Here we go again,” Judge Milan Smith starts in his epic broadside (PDF) against the Ninth Circuit’s anti-prosperity, bureaucracy-boosting environmental decisions. The Bush 43 appointee has had enough:
I cannot conclude my dissent without considering the impact of the majority’s decision in this case, and others like it, which, in my view, flout our precedents and undermine the rule of law. . . .
By rendering the Forest Service impotent to meaningfully address low impact mining, the majority effectively shuts down the entire suction dredge mining industry in the states within our jurisdiction. . . . As a result, a number of people will lose their jobs and the businesses that have invested in the equipment used in the relevant mining activities will lose much of their value. In 2008, California issued about 3,500 permits for such mining, and 18 percent of those miners received “a significant portion of income” from the dredging. See Justin Scheck, California Sifts Gold Claims, The Wall Street Journal, April 29, 2012. The gold mining operation in this case, the New 49ers, organizes recreational weekend gold-mining excursions. The majority’s opinion effectively forces these people to await the lengthy and costly ESA consultation process if they wish to pursue their mining activities, or simply ignore the process, at their peril.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time our court has broken from decades of precedent and created burdensome, entangling environmental regulations out of the vapors. In one of the most extreme recent examples, our court held that timber companies must obtain Environmental Protection Agency permits for stormwater runoff that flows from primary logging roads into systems of ditches, culverts, and channels. Nw. Envtl. Def. Ctr. v. Brown, 640 F.3d 1063 (9th Cir. 2011). In the nearly four decades since the Clean Water Act was enacted, no court or government agency had ever imposed such a requirement. Indeed, the EPA promulgated regulations that explicitly exempted logging from this arduous permitting requirement. Yet our court decided to disregard the regulation and require the permits.
The result? The imminent decimation of what remains of the Northwest timber industry.
