Fast and Furious Falling Apart

By Russ Vaughn

When BATF agents first blew the whistle on what is now known as Operation Fast and Furious, the rationale offered by DoJ for such an evidently foolish operation was that it was designed to allow BATF to track and prosecute the leaders of the Mexican drug cartels.  As more information surfaced from the Mexican government and the BATF’s Mexican bureau chief specifying that none of them knew anything of this operation, many of us who were paying a bit closer attention to the case immediately smelled the first foul scent of corruption.

The fatal flaw in DoJ’s explanation was this: if the Mexican authorities had not been brought into the operation, nor even the BATF’s own agents authorized to operate in Mexico, then the proffered DoJ justification made utterly no sense, for the simple reason that once those walked guns hit the south side of that border, there was absolutely no process in place to track them to their supposed targets.  Therefore, DoJ was patently  misrepresenting its motive.  Why?

For those who keep a constant wary eye on the left’s never-ending war on our 2nd-Amendment right to keep and bear arms, the increasingly fishy smell emanating from Washington led to connecting the dots back to the year-earlier revelations in the liberal media that weapons being used in Mexican crimes were traceable back to American sources more than 90% of the time.  That false meme had spread quickly through the major liberal media, along with calls for stricter gun control laws in this country by…guess who!  How about our president, our secretary of state, our attorney general, and other notable Democrats, for starters?

This is good. Someone with some balls.

Finally.

National Border Patrol Council, Which Represents All 17,000 Non-Supervisory Border Agents, Calls For Holder’s Resignation

Holder lied, Brian Terry died.

Council President George E. McCubbin III, a 25-year Border Patrol veteran, described Mr. Holder’s actions in the case as “a slap in the face to all Border Patrol agents who serve this country,” adding that the attorney general showed “an utter failure of leadership at the highest levels of government.”…

Mr. McCubbin said Border Patrol agents are indoctrinated from day one of their training that “integrity is their most important trait and that without it, they have little use to the agency.” He said agents who lie or show a lack of candor are disciplined quickly.

“The standard that applies to these agents should at a minimum be applied to those who lead them,” Mr. McCubbin said. “If Eric Holder were a Border Patrol agent and not the attorney general, he would have long ago been found unsuitable for government employment and terminated.”

House committee schedules contempt vote against Holder

By Sharyl Attkisson

(CBS News) CBS News has learned the House Oversight Committee will vote next week on whether to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. It’s the fourth time in 30 years that Congress has launched a contempt action against an executive branch member.

This time, the dispute stems from Holder failing to turn over documents subpoenaed on October 12, 2011 in the Fast and Furious “gunwalking” investigation.

The Justice Department has maintained it has cooperated fully with the congressional investigation, turning over tens of thousands of documents and having Holder testify to Congress on the topic at least eight times.

However, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., says the Justice Department has refused to turn over tens of thousands of pages of documents. Those include materials created after Feb. 4, 2011, when the Justice Department wrote a letter to Congress saying no gunwalking had occurred. The Justice Department later retracted the denial.

Nothing new about rants. He does some of the best. This is a good one re: Der Fubar and Heinrich Holder and Fast and Furious.

Oh Give It Up Already, Ace

Actually, we don’t mean that. We need to continue to pound on this relentlessly because if we DO “give it up already”, we’re only giving a green light to politicians continuing to do what they do, which is making a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

But we DO get tired of the bullshit from time to time, such as the genocidal Fast and Furious program hatched and approved by Der Fubar and his favorite SS officer, Heinrich Holder, and the futile attempts of all of us to get Congress in general and Darrell Issa in particular to do something beyond just fucking TALKING about an obviously criminal program that led to the deaths of at least two American law enforcement officers and an unknown hundreds of innocent civilian Mexicans.

We mean, seriously? You’ve been babbling about this for how long now, exactly? Where’s the fucking bacon? Or should we just meekly accept that as long as you worthless overpaid, underworked parasites are talking about it, “justice is being done?”

Funny how shit works in the realm of Obama and his cronies. Hugo Chavez couldn’t be more proud, I’m sure of it. Tyrant in the White House, tyrant at DOJ.

Still waiting for the outrage…

Trayvon: 46 Days; Fast and Furious: 527 Days and Counting

By M. Catharine Evans

The Attorney General of the State of Arizona should charge the Attorney General of the United States with negligent homicide in the deaths of Agents Terry, Zapata and Mexican nationals.

Sound extreme?

Not really. The government sanctioned program of allowing convicted felons to sell guns to drug cartels without interdiction resulted in cold-blooded murder, yet no one has been charged. Contrast that with the frenzied rush to judgment in the Trayvon Martin case.

The 16-month Fast and Furious investigation has been virtually drip, drip, drip. In addition, the Mexican government has been eerily quiet about gun walking weapons used to kill its own citizens. Congressman Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, keeps threatening to get to the bottom of it and the mainstream media folks won’t touch anything not approved by the regime.

But fortunately for us, the Obama administration decided to exploit the Trayvon Martin tragedy.

The barrage of protests, press conferences, high level official confabs and media headlines demanding George Zimmerman’s arrest for the shooting of 17-year old Martin provide a sharp contrast to the last year and a half of perjured testimony, media blackouts and stonewalling by the DOJ in the gunwalking fiasco.

This shit is really ridiculous. The data never supports the anti-gunners, but you’d never know it if you watched anything in the MSM.

MSM continues to shill for Obama Admin by lying about Mexican gun trace data
Written By: Bob

Jordy Yager is just the latest in a long line of “journalists” that have enjoyed playing the lying-by-omission game in regards to Mexican gun trace data, parroting a version of the Obama Administration’s failed 90-percent lie.

Here’s Yager lying in the lede:

Nearly 70 percent of all guns found in Mexico came from the U.S. over the past four years, according to data released by the federal government on Thursday.

This kind of lie isn’t accidental or inconsequential. It is a purposeful deception designed to shape public opinion. How do we know the lie is intention in the headline and lede, and not just a “misunderstanding?” Because Yager shows that he’s know the actual facts in the very next sentence.

More than 68,000 of the 99,691 firearms that were recovered between 2007 and 2011, and submitted to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for trace testing, were either made in the U.S. or legally brought into the U.S. at one point, according to the agency.

Yager knows all the relevant data. He knows that the data is only for guns submitted to the U.S. by Mexico, and that the guns submitted are only a fraction of the total, and only the fraction with U.S. manufacturing or importation marks.

IMPEACH NOW!

Steve Dennis's avatarAmerica's Watchtower

Since the Fast and Furious scandal first burst onto the scene Mexico has denied any knowledge of the deadly scandal but one question remained unanswered; why has the Mexican government remained silent on an international scandal which led to the deaths of hundreds of her citizens, a scandal which could be considered an act of war?

The answer to that question might just be found in Katie Pavlich’s new book on Fast and Furious, from page 111:

“Just as the Fast and Furious scandal threatened to become a major international incident–and intensely embarrassing to the Obama administration, which had worked to form an alliance with Mexico’s government–the outcry suddenly softened.”

“On August 15th, 2011: William Burns America’s Deputy Secretary of State, travelled to Mexico to meet with Mexico’s Foreign Secretary, Patricia Espinoza. According to an inside source who spoke to me only on condition of anonymity, Burns gave the Mexican government an ultimatum:…

More Fast and Furiouser and Furiouser.

When will this Administration pay for this crime? When will the impeachment process begin. When will Eric Holder be arrested and tried for his duplicity in the murder of Brian Terry and the hundreds, if not thousands of Mexican citizens in this fiasco? We’re still waiting. Now there’s more evidence, and there’s also evidence of it being covered up by Media Matters and their cohorts.

Where’s the fucking outrage?

New book claims FBI cover up of third gun in murder of border patrol agent

The Department of Justice is using the liberal “watchdog” group Media Matters for America to deflect questions about the Fast and Furious scandal, including those regarding a gun that might have been used in the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

A new book raises questions as to whether the FBI hid the existence of a weapon recovered at the scene of murdered U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Conservative commentator and author Katie Pavlich lays out evidence she says points to a FBI cover-up to protect a confidential informant in her recently released book, Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-up,

In response to an inquiry from the Free Beacon, a Justice Department spokeswoman said in an email that she “was told to direct your questions to the FBI, and also to provide you with a link to this story: http://mediamatters.org/research/201204190011”

The link was to a story at the George Soros-funded Media Matters for America supposedly refuting many of Pavlich’s claims. Media Matters is a partisan organization whose founder, David Brock, is also running a pro-Obama super PAC.

In Operation Fast and Furious, federal agents allowed more than 2,000 weapons to be smuggled across the U.S.-Mexican border and into the hand of violent drug cartels, with the intent of tracking them to learn more about the cartels.

When? When will the Obama Administration and his cronies be held accountable? This is a travesty that continues to be swept under the rug by a useless Congress. Where’s the outcry from the media? If this were a Republican Administration, you’d never hear the end of it.

Impeach now.
