This is another agency that is a waste of money and should be disbanded.
The EPA has done more to retard the private sector than any other government agency in my opinion.

They make shit up as they go.

Congress calls out the EPA

by Jazz Shaw

One group in Congress which doesn’t get nearly enough attention in the media is the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology and, in particular, the Subcommittee on Energy and Environment. Their chairman, Andy Harris (R-MD) sent a letter to the EPA this week which was probably long overdue. In it, he calls on EPA chair Lisa Jackson to explain what he identifies as a very disturbing pattern of behavior when it comes to natural gas drilling and the agency’s somewhat “casual” approach to science.

Subcommittee on Energy and Environment Chairman Andy Harris (R-MD) today sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson requesting information and documents related to the Agency’s activities with respect to hydraulic fracturing.

The letter outlines concerns over “EPA’s confusing and questionable approach to hydraulic fracturing,” summarizing three highly publicized instances in which the EPA leapt to scientific conclusions before having all the facts, only to later retract or revise its claims.

“These examples, while individually very troubling, collectively suggest EPA is not objectively pursuing an improved understanding of the relationship between hydraulic fracturing and drinking water,” Chairman Harris says in the letter. Instead, Harris asserts that EPA “is determined to find fault with the technology in order to justify sweeping new regulations.”

Another green energy fail. The slaughter will go unabated in the name of green energy. If this was an oil derrik that was killing birds it would be shut down in a heartbeat by the EPA. One word. FAIL.

MURDOCK: Team Obama’s war on bald eagles

Rare birds are protected, except from White House-favored windmills

When bald eagles confront danger, most normal Americans would leap to preserve, protect and defend America’s national symbol. But Team Obama’s response is different: It wants to give wind-power companies long-term permits to butcher bald eagles on the altar of green energy.

The dirty secret about “clean” wind power is that its turbines are giant whirling machetes. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), “With more than 100,000 turbines expected to be in operation in the United States by 2030, annual bird mortality rates alone (now estimated by the service at 440,000 per year) are expected to exceed 1 million.”

Like other birds, eagles sometimes do not detect blades that often revolve at 200 mph. Such birds of prey focus on finding smaller creatures to devour and then fatally smack into windmills.

Bald eagles and golden eagles are among the victims. This is the first significant bad news for bald eagles since they have returned from near-extinction. According to the Audubon Society, just 417 nesting pairs of bald eagles inhabited the continental United States in 1963. The bald eagle joined the Endangered Species List on July 4, 1976. Public and private protection helped secure its June 2007 delisting. At least 7,066 nesting pairs now populate the lower 48 states, among some 330,000 total.

And now this.
