Abstract
Beginning in the 1950s, a more radical form of liberalism emerged in the academy that sowed the seeds for the sexual revolution and multiculturalism. Neo-progressivism mobilized the New Left of the 1960s, transformed American politics, and continues to dominate the cultural and political conversation today. It combines what neo-progressives call personal politics the idea that American citizens have a right to all forms of self-expression and cultural politics the idea that cultural groups are entitled to special status together as the twin pillars of a new identity politics. As a result, citizens today have more, not less, freedom from government in the realm of sexual expression, and the American electorate has been fractured into various groups.
In the past two decades, a new, more radical form of progressivism has taken over American social and political life, even finding its way into the White House. Fresh instances of this new progressivism appear every day. For example:
At the 2012 Democratic National Convention, progressives officially supported same-sex marriage as a civil right and unofficially rejected the word God in their platform;
President Barack Obama, labeled the “First Gay President” by Newsweek for his support of gay rights, has instructed the Attorney General of the United States not to defend the Defense of Marriage Act; and
Vice President Joe Biden has said that discrimination against transgendered persons is the “civil rights issue of our time.”[1]

On Monday, June 24, 2013, the U.S. Senate passed a cloture motion (which ends debate) on the Schumer-Corker-Hoeven Amendment to the Gang of Eight’s horrifying illegal alien amnesty bill – mislabeled “immigration reform.”
The true purpose of this amnesty proposal is to capture future votes for the Democratic Party. Those who do not acknowledge that blatantly obvious fact either suffer from some debilitating mental illness or are working for the other side.
On rare occasions, even the Left admit the objective. Eliseo Medina, the honorary Chair of the Democratic Socialists of America, and International Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), said in 2008:
…If we reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters. Can you imagine if we have …even two out of three, if we get 8 million new voters… we will create a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle.
The “governing coalition for the long term” refers of course to the “permanent progressive majority” Democrats have fantasized about for decades.

During his sabbatical, a university professor wishes to come to Florida to interview me for a study he is doing on black Tea Partiers. He said he wants to find out why “you think the way you think.” Why do I get the feeling this guy believes that black conservatives are a strange phenomenon, almost unique as discovering a Bigfoot? This professor is flying all the way to Florida to actually meet me, an extremely rare species — a Blackus Conservativus.
As believers in traditional values such as faith in God, family, and country, conservatives are viciously attacked by the mainstream media, which function as enforcers, punishing all who dare challenge the left’s socialist/progressive agenda. The MSM portrays conservatives as nutcase extremists; take Col. Allen West, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and Ted Cruz to name a few.
Liberals decry as “kooky” those of us who believe that the institution of marriage should continue to remain the union of one man and one woman. Expecting the president to obey the Constitution is also declared by Obama media sycophants and the mainstream media a bit nutty, mean-spirited, racist, and extreme.
The left, assisted by their buddies in the MSM, use a very effective tactic to render conservatives politically impotent. They accuse us of being haters and aggressors, all the while forcing every item on their socialist/progressive list down America’s throats. Conservatives who were simply minding their own business are branded the bad guys.
Conservatives are swiftly becoming an ever-increasingly “silenced majority” — persecuted, intimidated, and bullied into shutting up. Rush Limbaugh says our country is in the midst of a peaceful takeover. America as founded is slipping away daily.

The excuse for wiretapping, etc., that it’s to stop terrorism is a bunch of bullshit. All these people in government want is control.
Control of every aspect of your life and that means that liberty cannot survive if they are to reach their goal.
Why is DHS arming itself to the teeth?
Why are the Dems so hot and bothered on the Second Amendment?
They wiretap millions of people in violation of the Fourth Amendment.
They go after journalists that break stories that are detrimental to them.
They go after conservative groups through the IRS and other agencies to stop any group against the Administration.
Why did Congress draft and the President sign the National Defense Authorization Act with language that summarily removes all of your rights to council and can lock you up without charges indefinitely?
This Administration has done more to curtail our freedom by chipping away at the Constitution than any other, and they do it with a smile on their face, a lie on their lips and and a head fake to keep you guessing.
Up until this point the media has done nothing to stop this man and his allies from running roughshod over this country until they were targeted themselves. But even that hasn’t stopped them from sucking up to this Administration. Obvious lies and obfuscation go unchallenged.

Glenn Greenwald’s exposure of the NSA’s massive domestic spy program has revealed the entire caste of current Democratic leaders as a gang of civil liberty opportunists, whose true passion, it seems, was in trolling George W. Bush for eight years on matters of national security.
“Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.
That’s right: don’t panic.
The very topic of Democratic two-facedness on civil liberties is one of the most important issues that Greenwald has covered. Many of those Dems — including the sitting President Barack Obama, Senator Carl Levin, and Sec. State John Kerry — have now become the stewards and enhancers of programs that appear to dwarf any of the spying scandals that broke during the Bush years, the very same scandals they used as wedge issues to win elections in the Congressional elections 2006 and the presidential primary of 2007-2008.
